Most Common LG Repairs
Linear Compressor Failure (Refrigerators)
LG’s inverter linear compressor is efficient and quiet, but it has a higher failure rate than traditional compressors, particularly in models manufactured between 2014 and 2020. LG extended the compressor warranty to 10 years as a result. We can determine if your compressor is covered and perform the replacement. Typical cost: $500–$800 (may be warranty-covered for parts; labor is typically out-of-pocket).
Washer Not Spinning or OE Error Code
LG front-load washers use a direct drive motor (no belt). When the motor coupling wears or the stator fails, the drum won’t spin properly. The OE code indicates a drain issue — usually a clogged pump filter or failed drain pump. Typical cost: $175–$400.
Refrigerator Ice Maker Issues
LG ice makers have their own set of common problems — the craft ice maker in InstaView models is particularly repair-intensive. Frozen water lines, inlet valve failures, and ice maker assembly replacements are routine work for us. Typical cost: $200–$400.
Dryer Not Heating
LG dryers use either a standard resistance heating element (electric) or gas valve assembly. Thermal fuse failures are the most common cause. LG’s dual inverter heat pump dryers have a separate set of issues related to the refrigerant system. Typical cost: $150–$350.
